TAPE is an affiliate of the American Electrology Association (AEA). Working with the medical community and experts in the field, the AEA developed “Infection Control Standards for the Practice of Electrology” and “Practice Standards” as guidelines for all electrology practitioners.
An electrologist who is “Board Certified” by the International Board of Electrologist Certification (IBEC), which the AEA sponsors, is designated as a “Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE)”, with over 2,000 participants worldwide that currently have attained this National Board Certification.
